Renaissance at 87th Street allegedly failed to prevent pressure ulcers

CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Renaissance at 87th Street, alleging the nursing facility allowed the woman to develop pressure ulcers.

Rogers Lee Jr., independent administrator to collect for the estate of Myrtis Lee, filed a complaint on June 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide Myrtis Lee with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Lee developed pressure ulcers after the defendants allegedly failed to adequately supervise her.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Matt Henry of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
