CHICAGO — A married couple is suing Jorge Fernald, a doctor, for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence.
Yvette and Derrick Skinner filed a complaint on July 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant failed to provide Yvette Skinner with proper medical care for uncontrolled hypertension, which the plaintiffs claim led to a cerebral vascular accident.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. They are represented by Louis Hilfman of Hilfman Law Offices, P.C. in Chicago.
