Doctor accused of prescribing medicine that allegedly caused kidney failure

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Alfred Cisneros M.D. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence.

Ann Rogoz filed a complaint on July 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was physically injured from being prescribed with Furosemide, which is also known as Lasix, which allegedly caused her to experience kidney failure. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly misdiagnosing her condition and prescribing a medicine that caused her further injuries.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Mitchell B. Friedman of Morici, Figlioli & Associates in Chicago.
