CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Saint Anthony Hospital and doctor Mark Jundanian for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence.

Antonio Arellano, independent administrator of the estate of Carlos Marcial, filed a complaint on July 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging they failed to notice Marcial had fractured his vertebra when he was under their care. He was later rushed to another hospital after experiencing paralysis and other symptoms.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Marcial experienced pain and permanent physical injuries due to a spinal cord injury, which the plaintiff claims led to Marcial's death. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose Marcial's condition and provide him with the necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Paul G. O'Toole of Salvato & O'Toole in Chicago.
