CHICAGO — An administrator of the estate of a deceased patient is suing St. Anthony Hospital and doctors Charles Schubert and Vikas Sharma for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence.
Melissa Street, independent administrator of the estate of Reola McGhee, filed a complaint on July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide McGhee with proper medical care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that McGhee suffered hypotension and a slow heart rate on March 5, 2015, when the defendants operated on a vein in her right arm. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to monitor and check on McGhee's condition after her surgery.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Scott B. Wolfman of D & W Law Group in Chicago.
