CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing the Villa at Windsor Park Nursing and Rehab Center LLC and associated companies for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and alleged negligence.
The other companies named as defendants include Villa at Windsor Park, Winsor Park Nursing and Living Center LLC, Windsor Park Nursing and Living Center LLC, Villa Healthcare Management Inc., the Villa at Windsor Park Realty II LLC, the Villa at Windsor Park Realty LLC and Windsor Park Realty LLC.
Edwina Ward, special administrator of the estate of Lowenstein Ward, filed a complaint on July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide Lowenstein Ward with proper care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Ward fell on the defendants' property while attempting to stand up without assistance while in the dining area, injuring his left hip and fracturing his left femur.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise Ward to address his risk of falling.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Molly L. Condon of Hurley McKenna & Mertz P.C. in Chicago.
