Woman alleges doctors failed to provide proper prenatal care

CHICAGO — A woman is suing doctors Barry Sadegi and Joi Bradshaw for allegedly taking insufficient measures to save her pregnancy.

Lakeisha Taylor, individually and as personal representative of the estate of her deceased child, filed a complaint on July 6 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide her unborn child with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she experienced serious physical and emotional distress following the premature delivery and death of her baby. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to insert a cervical stitch or take other actions to save her pregnancy.  

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by James A. Karamanis of Barney & Karamanis LLP in Chicago.
