AT&T Illinois accuses Chicago of damaging underground cables

CHICAGO — AT&T Illinois is suing the city of Chicago after its workers allegedly damaged the telecommunications utility's underground cables.

AT&T Illinois filed a complaint on July 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging city workers excavated near the site of the plaintiff's cables, and then damaged the cables.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $83,605 plus court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Todd Shivers of Geneva.
