Westchester School District 92-5 accused of allowing aide to batter student on bus

CHICAGO — A mother and her son are suing Westchester School District 92-5 after a school aide allegedly battered the boy on a school bus.

Cynthia Rodriguez and her minor son filed a complaint on July 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant allowed her son to be physically and verbally assaulted while inside a school bus.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the boy sustained physical injuries from allegedly being pushed, choked and threatened by an aide employed by the defendant. The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly allowing the aide to physically assault the boy.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Bryan J. O'Connor of O'Connor Law Group LLC in Chicago.
