Alden-Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc., others allegedly failed to prevent pressure sores

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Alden-Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc., Alden Princeton and Princeton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent a patient from developing pressure sores.

Anthony Smith, special administrator of the estate of Arthur L. Hall, filed a complaint on July 17 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Hall experienced pain caused by pressure sores and dehydration. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise Hall to prevent him from developing pressure sores and for allegedly failing to ensure that he was hydrated.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Molly L. Condon of Hurley McKenna & Mertz P.C. in Chicago.
