Live Fire Mexican Grill, Martin Produce Inc. accused of negligence

CHICAGO — A man is suing Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill and Martin Produce Inc. for alleged negligence and product liability.

Dakotah Lucas filed a complaint on July 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained injuries from ingesting unsafe steak tacos. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to make sure that the food products were free from E. coli bacteria. The plaintiff also claims that the diarrhea he experienced afterwards affected an architectural project he allegedly had with the Chicago Cubs.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by David A. Williams of Brad J. Balke P.C. in Chicago.
