CHICAGO — A man is suing Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, an unknown lab technician, doctors Joseph Ogarek, Pablo Moreno, Marrin N. Marinov and A Khan and several nurses for alleged negligence and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Richard Rius filed a complaint on July 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he suffered cardiac arrest after the defendants allegedly failed to properly diagnose his blood alcohol level, which allegedly prompted the healthcare providers to withhold pain medication or give him the wrong pain medication.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Wayne Borawski, in Brookfield.
