CHICAGO — A woman is suing Walgreens, alleging she was negligently provided an incorrect prescription drug.
Sylvia Shearin filed a complaint on July 25 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant failed to provide her with the proper medication.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to recognize Warfarin 3 mg tablets were not an appropriate replacement for the 1 mg version.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Gerald J. Bekkerman and Jonathan D. Treshansky of Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman LLC in Chicago.
