CHICAGO — A woman is suing Cermak Fresh Market Inc. and associated corporate entities for alleged negligence and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Estela Juarez filed a complaint on July 25 in the Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to keep their premises reasonably safe for her.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she slipped and fell on an object that appeared to be chocolate that allegedly was left on the floor. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn her about the substance on the floor.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $30,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Andrew J. Fink of Solis Law Firm P.C. in Cicero.
