Silver Cross Hospital accused of not protecting woman from battery at co-worker's hands

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Silver Cross Hospital for alleged battery.

The woman filed a complaint on July 31 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant failed to protect her from being physically assaulted by another employee.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained physical and emotional damages from being physically assaulted by a co-worker. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to take steps to make sure that the co-worker wouldn't physically assault her.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by the Law Office of Mitchell A. Kilnie in Chicago.
