CHICAGO — A man is suing Dr. Dovilan Wyatt and Dr. Smitha Arekapudi for alleged negligence and for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Howard Gause filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained serious physical injuries to his right eye, causing temporary total blindness. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly perform a cataract surgery on him, which allegedly caused intraoperative complications.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Erron H. Fisher of Fisher & Lamonica P.C. in Chicago.
