Lucas Ambulance Service accused of negligence in vehicular accident

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Lucas Ambulance Service, an employee and another driver for alleged negligence.

Connie Borchardt, administrator of the estate of Albert Patera, filed a complaint on Aug. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the employee failed to properly control his vehicle, causing it to collide with the other vehicle. Patera allegedly was a passenger in the employee's vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff allege Patera sustained undisclosed serious physical injuries in a vehicular accident. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to timely apply the brakes of their vehicles and keep a proper look out.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz, and Associates Ltd. in Chicago.
