University of Chicago Medicine allegedly failed to treat pancreatic transplant rejection

CHICAGO — A woman is suing the University of Chicago Medical Center and doctors Keme Heaven Carter, Anton Marius Chivu, Piotr Witkowski and Michelle A. Josephson for allegedly taking insufficient measures to diagnose and treat a pancreatic transplant rejection.

Kristy Onyszko filed a complaint on Aug. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to diagnose and treat her pancreatic transplant rejection.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Michael S. Shinsky and Erin R. Doyle of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
