CHICAGO — An employee is suing RR Donnelley Logistics Services Worldwide Inc. and RR Donnelley & Sons for alleged discrimination, retaliation and violation of the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.
Lori Earley filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendants interfered with her rights to leave protected under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was fired for going on FMLA-protected leave for a spinal condition that allegedly required surgeries and other treatment. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly retaliating against her by terminating her employment for going on leave.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an injunction, back pay and benefits, compensatory and punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Bethany Hilbert of Barlow, Kobata & Denis in Chicago.
