CHICAGO — A man is suing National Credit Systems Inc. and Equifax Inc. for alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
Andrzej Lobrow filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendants reported his debt was higher than the amount a court had ordered the debt to be, damaging his credit score. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly investigate his dispute and for allegedly refusing to correct the information found on his consumer report.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, $1,000 in statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by David B. Levin of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman P.C. in Chicago.
