CHICAGO — A man is suing the Home Depot for allegedly violating the Family and Medical Leave Act and for alleged wrongful termination.
Robert Caprel filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendant terminated his employment after he returned from a medical leave that he allegedly was granted in order to undergo a thyroid cancer procedure.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages of not less than $100,000, back pay, compensatory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by John P. Carlin of Suburban Legal Group PC in Schaumburg.
