Vista Medical Center East, employees accused of failing to timely diagnose gallbladder condition

CHICAGO — A man is suing Vista Medical Center East, Dr. Heather Dieperink and a physician assistant for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries to his relative.

Rodolfo Orduna, independent administrator of the estate of Soledad Hernandez, filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Hernandez sustained serious physical injuries as the result of not being timely diagnosed with an inflammation of the gallbladder. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus medical, drug and incidental expenses, general damages and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Cindy G. Fluxgold of Goldstein, Fluxgold & Baron P.C. in Chicago.
