University of Chicago Medical Center allegedly failed to prevent woman from tripping over telephone cord

CHICAGO — A woman is suing University of Chicago Medical Center for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Linda Johnson filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained physical injuries on Sept. 3, 2015, when she fell after allegedly tripping over a telephone cord. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn her about the telephone cord that allegedly stretched across the floor, creating a tripping hazard.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Loren B. Siegel & Associates LLC in Chicago.
