CHICAGO — A couple is suing Pure Diamond Woodwork Inc. for alleged breach of contract.
Simon and Alina Engel filed a complaint on Aug. 24 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the contractor failed to construct a closet in a proper manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege a closet and cabinetry they paid for is not working as they had hoped. The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly install the hinges and soft-close slides of the cabinetry and closet.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant for monetary damages greater than $30,000 plus court costs and punitive damages. They are represented by Thomas M. Paris of Attorney & Counselor at Law in Chicago.
