CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Dr. Valesia Phillips and Midlake Medical Corporation for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Annetta Towns, administrator of the estate of Annie Kate Jackson, filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Jackson sustained serious physical injuries as the result of a liver illness she alleges went untreated. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly evaluate Jackson's liver illness and provide the necessary treatment for Hepatitis B.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $100,000. She is represented by Edward G. Proctor Jr. of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
