Metra allegedly failed to prevent individual from falling off motorcycle

CHICAGO — An individual is suing Metra, Regional Transit Authority d/b/a Metra and Northeast Illinois Railroad Corporation d/b/a Metra for alleged liability and negligence.

Sean T. Holmes filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in the Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to keep their premises reasonably safe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained physical injuries when his motorcycle tire allegedly slipped while exiting a parking lot, causing him to fall. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to remove the liquid substance that was allegedly left on the floor.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. He is represented by Alan H. Bender of Goldstein Bender & Romanoff in Chicago.
