CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Steven Chandler and Southwest Orthopedics S.C. for alleged negligence.
Benita Betts filed a complaint on Sept. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she sustained serious physical injuries to her right knee when the defendants allegedly failed to properly review X-rays of her right knee to avoid a surgical procedure the plaintiff claims was unnecessary.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Mark W. Damisch of Damisch & Damisch Ltd. in Chicago.
