Illinois Central Railroad, Canadian National Railway accused of exposing worker to toxic chemicals

CHICAGO — A worker is suing Illinois Central Railroad Co. and Canadian National Railway Co. for alleged liability and negligence.

Frankie W. McIntosh filed a complaint on Sept. 5 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he was diagnosed with cancer allegedly caused by being exposed to toxic materials on work sites. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate safety equipment to protect him from being exposed to the chemicals.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by R. Joseph Kramer of Marc J. Bern & Partners LLP in Chicago.
