NorthShore University Health System Inc., others allegedly failed to timely diagnose cancer

CHICAGO — An estate administrator and two other individuals are suing NorthShore University Health System, NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center Inc. and NorthShore Evanston Hospital for alleged negligence in a cancer diagnosis.

Doctors Patrick Logan, Ilana Seligman and Nicholas Campbell were also listed as defendants.

Plaintiffs Amanda Wright, Kelsey Wright and Garry Lee Wright, independent administrator of the estate of Laurel A. Neu, filed a complaint on Sept. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide Neu with proper medical care when they did not diagnose Neu with parotid cancer in a timely manner. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose Neu's cancer and provide the necessary treatment.

The plaintiffs requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus medical expenses and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by attorney Michael C. Goode, of Chicago.
