CHICAGO — An individual is suing Dr. Peter Rantis, Suburban Surgical Care Specialists S.C. and St. Alexius Medical Center for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
William Matthiessen filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide him with proper medical care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained serious physical injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to "retrieve a surgical towel" from him during the procedure.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds $50,000. He is represented by Bradley Z. Schulman of Motherway & Napleton LLP in Chicago.
