CHICAGO — Several union pension funds are suing Butterfield Health Care Labor LLC for allegedly failing to make monthly contributions.
Trustees of the Chicago Painters and Decorators Pension Fund, Trustees of the Chicago Painters and Decorators Welfare Fund, Trustees of the Chicago Painters and Decorators Deferred Savings Fund, Trustees of the Chicago Chicago Painters and Decorators Apprenticeship Fund, Trustees of the Chicago Painters and Decorators Scholarship Fund, Painters and Decorators Joint Cooperation Trust Fund are listed as plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging that the defendant failed to pay its employees' contributions to the funds each month based on their agreement.
The plaintiffs seek enjoin the defendant for failing to make timely payments and recover court costs, liquidated damages and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Donald D. Schwaratz, James R. Anderson and Caitlin B. Pyrce of Arnold and Kadjan LLP in Chicago.
