Loyola University Medical Center, doctors accused of failing to provide necessary treatment

CHICAGO — A man is suing Loyola University Medical Center and doctors Gerard Abood, Thomas Smith, Hieu H. Ton-That, Adrian Dombrowlsky and Geoffrey Vana for alleged negligence.

Robert Coglianese filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained physical injuries, including bowel incontinence, short gut, malnutrition and permanent abdominal wound care after the defendants allegedly failed to timely diagnose his hemodynamic instability and provide the necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. He is represented by The Law Office of W. Jason Gatzulis in Chicago.
