CHICAGO — A couple is suing Dr. Stoyan Kokocharov, Amita Health, Amita Health Medical Group and Amita Health Medical Care Group for alleged negligence.
Miriam and Audiel Maldonado filed a complaint on Sept. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Miriam Maldonado sustained injuries to her vagal nerve when the defendants allegedly performed the wrong type of fundoplication.
The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $100,000. They are represented by Sharon A. Kobrin of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
