CHICAGO — A man is suing Poweramp Inc. and Fairborn Equipment Company of Illinois LLC for alleged negligence and product liability.

Justin Howard, independent administrator of the estate of William Howard, filed a complaint on Sept. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to properly manufacture and install the vertical storing dock leveler being used by William Howard.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Howard was crushed and seriously injured on Nov. 17, 2015, when the dock allegedly fell on him.
