CHICAGO — A man is suing SGO Hotel Partners LLC, Sheraton Chicago O'Hare, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide LLC and FCH/SH Leasing LLC for alleged liability and negligence.

Thomas Murphy filed a complaint on Sept. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained physical injuries to his tailbone, back and head on Sept. 23, 2015, when he allegedly fell backwards after getting up from a bench. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately warn him about the uneven surface of the ground where the bench was situated.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Kristin E. Hoeksema of Spagnolo & Hoeksema LLC in Hoffman Estates.
