Sherise McQuay Learning Tree accused in man's death

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Sherise Ammons-McQuay and Sherise McQuay Learning Tree for alleged negligence.

Latoya Bray, next best friend and special administrator of the estate of Steven Robinson Jr., filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Steven Robinson Jr. sustained serious physical injuries on Sept. 30, 2015, that allegedly contributed to the overall deterioration of his health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to have staff that was properly trained to perform CPR when they found Robinson unresponsive.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Roosevelt Allen III of The Deratany Firm in Chicago.
