Metro Center for Health, others allegedly failed to prevent knee infection

Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO — A man is suing Dr. Craig D. Westin, Dr. Jeffrey M. Lisowski, Metro Center for Health and Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital, which also does business as Chicago Bone and Joint Replacement Center, for alleged negligence.

Eric B. Anderson filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants allowed his septic knee go untreated, allegedly causing an infection that required multiple surgeries to treat. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to perform an ACL surgery on him in a sterile environment, which allegedly caused his knee to become infected.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $30,000, plus interest and court costs. He is represented by Michael R. Collins of Collins & Collins in Chicago.
