CHICAGO — An employee is suing the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Leopardo Companies Inc. and Break Thru Enterprises Inc. for alleged negligence.
Joseph Mazurek filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide a reasonably safe working environment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he suffered physical injuries on Jan. 14 when he allegedly tripped and fell over a floor anchor or mount, causing him to fall. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to remove the floor anchor or mounts during a demolition or provide adequate warning to him about the mounts that allegedly were left on the floor.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Sean P. Murray of Taxman, Pollock, Murray & Bekkerman LLC in Chicago.
