CHICAGO — A woman is suing Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Advocate South Suburban Sleep Center and Tinley Park Sleep Center LLC for alleged negligence.
Debra Smith filed a complaint on Sept. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging her face was burned while undergoing a therapeutic nocturnal polysomnography and other procedures on May 29, 2014. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly supervise her while undergoing several procedures and properly affix a mask to her face.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by James F. Coyne of Coyne Reinke Law in Chicago.
