Former police officer accuses Chicago Police Board of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 04

CHICAGO — A former police officer is suing the Chicago Police Board and the superintendent of the Chicago Police Department for alleged wrongful discharge and termination.

Eugene Posey filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he was accused of violating several department rules and wrongfully discharged in June. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly disregarding their own disciplinary scheme and coming up with a decision that violated his procedural rights.

The plaintiff seeks an order reversing the decision of the board, reinstatement or further proceedings, compensation for lost benefits, wages interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Colleen R. Daly, Attorney at Law in Chicago.
