Manorcare Health Services-Homewood allegedly failed to prevent woman from getting pressure ulcers

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Manorcare Health Services-Homewood for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Gwendolyn Gray, independent administrator of the estate of Dar Lee Gaston, filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in Cook County Circuit Court, Gaston developed pressure ulcers, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of her health. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and assist Gaston to prevent her from suffering falls and from developing pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Kristen N. Koeller of Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
