Vanguard Westlake Hospital allegedly failed to prevent patient from developing pressure ulcers

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Vanguard Westlake Hospital for alleged negligence.

Dorothy Garner, independent administrator of the estate of Ora Little, filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Little developed pressure ulcers, which allegedly were left untreated and contributed to the deterioration of her overall health. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and assist Little to prevent her from developing pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Michael F. Bonamarte and Jared M. Reynolds of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
