CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Charles Kamson, Eagle Livery Service Inc. and Jayneth Allen-Overton for wrongful death, accusing the limo driver and other motorist of causing the traffic collision in which a male passenger died.
Dawn Campbell, independent administrator of the estate of Kevin Hanks, filed a complaint Sept. 27 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Kamson, an employee of Eagle Livery Service Inc., and Allen-Overton failed to properly control their vehicles, causing them to strike each other. Hanks was a passenger in Kamson's vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the other vehicle was traveling eastbound on 71st Street in Chicago on Sept. 28, 2015, when it struck the livery vehicle. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to keep a proper look out while operating their vehicles and take evasive action when necessary.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Mark Horwitz of The Horwitz Law Group in Chicago.
