CHICAGO — A woman is suing Chicago Behavioral Hospital and Dr. Sanjay Patel for alleged negligence.
Gaye Ritter, special administrator of the estate of James Ritter, filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging James Ritter suffered a large empyema and lung abscess, which allegedly caused the deterioration of his overall health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to timely address Ritter's complaints of shortness of breath and order a medical consultation.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Edward M. Rubin of Rubin Machado & Rosenblum Ltd. in Chicago.
