North Harbor Tower, others accused of not fixing blinds that cut man's hand

CHICAGO — A man is suing Caroline Riccolo, North Harbor Tower, ZRS Residential Services, Heitman LLC and 175 North Harbor Drive LLC for alleged negligence.

Eric Hewitt filed a complaint on Oct. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to make sure that the blinds found on their property were free from any defects.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he cut his hand when a set of blinds allegedly fell off a wall on Oct. 23, 2015. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Brian C. Thomas of Thomas Law in Chicago.
