CHICAGO — A state agency is suing The Ude Group Holding Company and Domonique Johnson for alleged unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law and violation of workers' compensation acts.
The Illinois Department of Labor filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging employees it is representing sustained damages as a result of not being paid the amounts owed them as part of a final administrative decision.
The plaintiff seeks an order enforcing its decision and an order in the amount of $2,390 for unpaid wages and $1,259 in statutory penalties, $250 for administrative fees, $40,385 for additional administrative penalties, $478.16 as a statutory civil penalty for the alleged failure to pay amounts due, $95,944 for additional statutory penalties, an additional 1 percent of the unpaid wages per day and any further relief this court grants.
