Hong Kong Garden Inc. allegedly sold food that was infected with salmonella

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Hong Kong Garden Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Dorian Diaz filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she experienced abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea on Oct. 18, 2015, that allegedly was caused by consuming food that was infected with salmonella. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly allowing its employees to serve steamed shrimp and broccoli that was allegedly infected with salmonella.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Frank R. Christian of Christian & Manno in Oak Park.
