CHICAGO — A woman has filed a class-action lawsuit against Mac Property Management LLC, The Sutherland LLC and Sutherland Master Tenant LLC for alleged violation of Chicago's Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (RTLO).

Robbin Kent filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to attach the required RTLO summary to her lease and those of other tenants, as required by the ordinance. The RLTO regulates most residential lease agreements in the city.

The plaintiff seeks certify the RLTO summary class, judgment against the defendant for the amounts specified in the RLTO, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by JS Law in Chicago.
