CHICAGO — A woman has brought a wrongful death suit against Ramiro Rangel Jr., DNJ Intermodal Services LLC, IMC Companies LLC, IMC Global Solutions, National Drayage Services and Atlantic Intermodal Services LLC.
Gardecia Curry, special administrator of the estate of William Curry, filed a complaint on Oct. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that Rangel, who allegedly was an employee of the defendant companies listed, failed to properly control his vehicle, a 2007 Volvo semi, colliding with a vehicle in which William Curry was a passenger, injuring and ultimately killing Curry.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Larry R. Rogers and Jonathan M. Thomas of Power, Rogers & Smith LLP in Chicago.
