CHICAGO — A man is suing Althoff Industries Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Miguel Suarez filed a complaint on Oct. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained serious physical injuries to his hands and fingers while performing his work duties on July 13, 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly allowing a fudge machine to be turned on while he was servicing it.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus punitive damages. He is represented by Charles A. Cohn of Cohn & Cohn in Chicago.
